If you are a father, grandfather, uncle—or other type of father figure — set aside one day each year to attend school with your kids. Not only will your presence absolutely delight your children, it increases security, reduces bullying, and sends a strong message that education is important to every kid at Shawnee Trail!

Here's what you need to do:
This process takes 3-5 days, so do it now.
You MUST sign up at least 2 days earlier than the date you plan to serve.
Your day at Shawnee Trail as a Watch DOG:
As a Watch D.O.G. your day begins at drop-off and can include:
Check in at the school office to get your schedule
Safety patrol (during morning drop-off)
Being honored at "Good Morning Shawnee Trail" (Fridays only)
Eating lunch with kids
Playing at recess
Reading with kids
Working with kids in small groups (practicing spelling, flash cards, etc.)
Proudly accepting the Watch Dogs Salute from kids all day long
Safety patrol (during afternoon pick-up)
Fall Kick Off—Thurs. Sept 19— 6:45 p.m.
This is your chance to have a great night out as a family with your student(s) in a fun atmosphere at school! All new presentation AND many door prizes will be given away. A Dad's dream come true, a treat with your student and the chance to win several DOOR PRIZES!
